What this notice covers

This notice explains how Calendia.be handles data.

What we collect

Calendia.be uses a self-hosted instance of Umami to count visits. Umami records, for each page view: the page visited, the referrer URL, an approximate country derived from your IP address, and basic technical information about your browser, operating system, and screen size. Your IP address itself is not stored.

We also store a single preference cookie (lang) to remember your language choice. It contains no personal data.

What we don't collect

No tracking cookies. No fingerprinting. No third-party trackers. No advertising on this site. No newsletter, no contact form, no account system. We have no personal data to lose, sell, or share.

Why we collect it

Aggregate page-view counts help us understand which content is useful and where readers come from. The legal basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) and Recital 47 of the General Data Protection Regulation. Because the data is aggregated and not personally identifying, no consent banner is required.

Where data is stored

The site and its analytics run on a server located in Germany. No data is sent to third parties.

How long we keep it

Page-view counts are retained for as long as they are operationally useful and may be deleted at any time without notice. Because no records are tied to an identifiable person, there is nothing to retain about you specifically.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, port, or object to processing of your personal data. Because this site holds no personal data about you, these rights are largely moot here, but you may exercise them in writing at the contact address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA) (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
